To give a partition just follow the steps.

Go to start bottom, and search Computer Management. 

                 Then in the left click in Disk Management. and wait for a while.

           which drive do you wanna give partition , click here right button and select Shrink volume.

                                 After that select the pace you required.

           then Wait for a few moment . Now you can see there are a new drive.. now time to setup the drive.Right click to the new drive and select "new simple volume"

                                              Then click next

                                                  Select size

                                            Select the drive letter

                Give a name of the volume.. and follow as shown in the fig.

                                           And Then click finish

               Now you can format it or not... as you wish.. and do like that..
